Our interview advice for candidates (non-technical roles)
(Currently, all interviews are being held remotely via Google Meet).
1st Step: Screening Call with our Talent Acquisition Manager Julia (about 30 min)
The initial recruiter screening call is often the first step in the recruiting process.
During this first stage interview we will introduce you to our company, discuss your career history and competencies, and generally evaluate whether we'd be a match (for both sides!).
The line of questioning will commonly be aligned to your CV and to the job description.
Company information: You may be asked what you already know about Resourcify, and our Talent Acquisition Manager Julia may provide you with additional infos about our organisation and culture.
Common topics: Our Talent Acquisition Manager may ask you about your work experience, education, skills, qualifications, as well as your interests in the role and the company.
Our tips:
Ask questions: Please do not hesitate to ask questions about the role, company culture and values. This shows your interest in working with us . ๐
Review your resume: Please make sure that your resume is up to date and that you carefully read the job description.
For later-stage interviews, please feel free to ask the Talent Acquisition Manager if you can prepare anything in particular.
2nd step: Hiring Manager Call (about 45 min)
During this behavioural/team fit interview the Hiring Manager/Team Lead will provide you with more in-depth information regarding the role and the team.
The purpose of the call is to further evaluate your ability to meet the job requirements based on your previous experience.
Hence, the Hiring Manager may ask more in-depth questions about your work experience, skills and qualifications.
We will test your collaborative skills, ability to work under pressure and your ability to succeed in cross-functional teams.
Behavioural questions: The hiring manager may ask behavioural questions, which are designed to assess how you have handled situations in the past and how you might handle similar situations in the future.
Example questions:
Describe a time when you had to work under pressure to meet a deadline. How did you manage your time and prioritise tasks?
Can you give me an example of a time when you had to collaborate with a team to solve a problem? What was your role, and how did you contribute to the team's success?
Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult customer. What happened, and how did you handle the situation?
3rd Step: Case Study Interview (about 60 - 90 minutes)
For some positions we will send you a task to work on for a couple of days. It would be great if you could draft a short presentation with PowerPoint or similar.
The case study presentation may be attended by 2-3 Interviewers including the Hiring Manager, depending on the role.
Usually there will be a short introduction round followed by the case study presentation (about 10-20 min). In the last part of the interview there will be enough time for discussion and questions.
Working on a case allows you to demonstrate analytical skills, problem-solving skills and your creative mindset. We always make sure that our case studies are very relevant to the role, so they are a perfect opportunity for you to get a better idea of if you'd enjoy working in this role at Resourcify.
4th step: Final interview with the hiring team (30 - 45 min)
Congratulations! You have made it to the final step and are hence very close to becoming a Resourcian! ๐
The purpose of the final team interview is to give the hiring team the opportunity to assess your fit within the team and the organisation. This is a great opportunity for you to meet your future colleagues and determine if this is the right environment for you.
The team may evaluate your communication and interpersonal skills to ensure successful collaboration with other team members.
Our tip:
The final team interview can be a great chance for you to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of the team dynamics, the company culture, and the day-to-day responsibilities of the job. This can help you to make an informed decision about whether the job is a good fit for you.
5th Step: Offer
Hooray! You did an amazing job! ๐
After having successfully completed all the required steps, we as a team will come together for the final evaluation.
If the interview feedback has been positive from your and our side, we are more than happy to make you an offer and welcome you to our fantastic team! ๐๐
